Received SRC GaoGaiGar yesterday from Amiami. Pretty much a piece that is sold out everywhere online. Preorders for the re-release are pending at the usual spots.

Just some quick impressions here. A relatively heavy toy for something about 5-6” tall.  That’s of course due to the die-cast materials Bandai has used for the feet and legs. Engineering-wise, Bandai has done, in my opinion, a really nice job of adding articulation and movement in all the right joints and places. Paint apps are very nice as well. A few QC issues are noticeable however. My piece has a floppy groin joint with the right leg. Nothing too horrible, but you do notice it. Also a bit of a chipped piece of plastic on the rear end, but overall not a distraction.

My first experience with SRC and I highly recommend this to  Super Robot fans. Link to the gallery is on the photo below! Enjoy!

I was surprised how sturdy this figure was. Paint job is fantastic. Really show accurate look as well. Fans of the tokusatsu would do well to pick this up ASAP. Supplies seem strained to say the least. Hurry to your favorite hobby store. Recommended!

Really quite sad actually. But, I have enjoyed level farming in the NDS game Super Robot Wars OG Saga Endless Frontier. As such, KOS-MOS remains part of my front party in the game and she kicks butt! Soon. I need to post some pics of what this site was founded upon. PLAMO!  Yeah, that’s right. Plastic model kits. I finished one recently, because it was burning a hole in my backlog. It’s a RG 1/144 RX-78-2 Gundam. It’s awesome. The build is easy but sophisticated. Bandai packs quite a lot into something only about 5 inches tall. That said, the first set of pics now have a gallery. Not loving the lighting and exposure on these pics as it doesn’t really do the model justice. Lots of love went into the weathering and decals and it’s sort of lost. It’s not horrible though. Hopefully will turn out better next session. Enjoy!

March 11.  I have a pretty soft spot in my heart for Japan obviously.  My visit to Japan 4 years ago really opened my eyes to a culture that goes beyond anime, manga and collectibles. The people are great and they need help. Specifically northern Japan around the area of Sendai. Wanna help? Here’s a couple of ways.

So here’s part 1 of the gallery for the micro-dio I made. It’s a tiny representation of the Hokuto Training grounds.  Made the cobblestone tiles with lightweight hydrocal. Really easy actually. Just added some pigment to the mixture, set it in a mold and bam! You’ll see what I’m talking about inside.
